-to operate o to have an operation?-
- -to operate o to have an operation?-
- Nota d'uso
Il verbo “operare” nel senso chirurgico può essere tradotto letteralmente con to operate ma spesso viene seguito dalla preposizione on: He was operated on last night, è stato operato ieri sera (non He was operated last night). Tuttavia, è molto più utilizzata la locuzione to have an operation, che non richiede alcuna preposizione: He had an operation last night, è stato operato ieri sera.
